Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026: Dates (Soon), Registration, Choice Filling, &More!

Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026 for the academic year 2026-27 will be conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) starting from July 2026. Following the declaration of NEET 2026 results on June 15, 2026, eligible candidates can register for counselling through the official website. The specific dates for Telangana NEET counselling have not been released yet and will be updated on the official page.

 

The entire counselling process for Telengana Government Quota (GQ) and Management Quota (MQ) seats will be managed online at knruhs.telangana.gov.in. Candidates should regularly visit tsmedadm.tsche.in for the latest updates and to participate in web options (choice filling and option locking) through the online portal.

The application process will commence with the release of Telangana NEET counselling application forms. Only candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 and scored above the cutoff marks will be eligible to apply for the 85% state quota seats in Telangana. It is crucial that candidates register on the KNRUHS official website for Telangana NEET 2026 counselling to be considered for the admission process.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to participate in Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

1. Nationality:

   • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
   • Non-resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Foreign Nationals may also be eligible under specific criteria.

2. Domicile:

   • Candidates must satisfy the domicile requirements as specified by the Telangana state authorities.
   • Proof of residency or domicile certificate may be required.

3. Age Limit:

   • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31, 2026.
   • There is no upper age limit for participation in NEET UG counselling.

4. Educational Qualification:

   • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
   • They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects in Class 12.
   • General category candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate required is 40%. For PwD candidates, it is 45%.

5. NEET 2026 Qualification:

   • Candidates must have appeared for NEET UG 2026 and obtained the minimum qualifying percentile as per their category:
     • General Category: 50th percentile
     • SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile
     • PwD (General): 45th percentile

6. Registration for Counselling:

   • Candidates must register for Telangana NEET UG 2026 counselling on the official website of KNRUHS.
   • Only registered candidates will be considered for seat allotment and admission.

How to apply

1. Registration Process:

   • Visit the official website designated for Telangana NEET UG Counselling by KNRUHS.
   • Look for the registration link and click on it.
   • Fill in the required details such as NEET UG 2026 roll number, registration number, name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
   • Create a password for your account.

2. Payment of Counselling Fee:

   • Log in using the credentials created during registration.
   • Pay the counselling registration fee online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Keep the payment receipt for future reference.

3. Document Upload:

   • Upload scanned copies of required documents such as:
     • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
     • NEET UG 2026 Scorecard
     • Class 10 Mark Sheet
     • Class 12 Mark Sheet
     • Domicile Certificate
     • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

   • Ensure all documents are in the specified format (usually JPEG/PDF) and file size as per the guidelines provided.

4. Choice Filling:

   • After successful registration and document upload, log in to your account.
   • Fill in your choices/preferences for colleges and courses available for counselling.
   • Arrange the choices in order of preference. You can add, delete, or modify choices before locking them.
   • Once satisfied, lock your choices within the stipulated deadline.

5. Verification of Documents:

   • Visit the designated help center as per the schedule for document verification.
   • Carry original documents along with self-attested copies for verification.
   • Obtain a verification slip or acknowledgment after successful verification.

6. Seat Allotment:

   • Wait for the seat allotment result, which will be published on the official website according to the counselling schedule.
   • Check the provisional seat allotment result and download the provisional allotment letter.

7. Reporting to the Allotted Institute:

   • If allotted a seat, report to the allotted institute within the specified timeframe.
   • Carry the provisional allotment letter and original documents for verification and admission formalities.

8. Final Admission:

   • Complete admission formalities at the allotted institute, including payment of admission fees and submission of required documents.
